Listings

In the Cable Manager dialog, on the Tools tab, the Listings section contains tools for generating listings for cables and cable penetrations.

These commands require an ICGD and format control files.

For information on cable router settings that affect listings, see Listing.

Cables

Use the Cables command to create a listing of the cables currently selected in the Cable Manager dialog. You are prompted to define the following:

  • Enter a name for the listing to create.
  • Select the ICGD to use.

A cable listing can be for example a document that is used in production when pulling cables, or it can be a sum list that calculates the total amount of each cable material in the selection.

A listing intended for production could contain Cable ID, cable length, cable head and tail equipment, compartments where cable head and tail equipment are, and the cable route as a list of node IDs. Pulling the cables in production can be easier when there is a listing and a drawing that shows the cable trays and all node IDs. But, if cables are very long, a list of all node IDs in a route can be difficult to manage, and it might be better to use a customized script for the listing.

  • Select whether to include all penetration objects or just those you select from the model.
  • Enter a name for the listing to create.
  • Select the ICGD to use.
  • Select whether to show the listing in the Listing dialog of Plant Modeller.
